Submitted Development Sites in Terrington Parish

All sites submitted up to December 2024 are shown and further submissions, if any, will be added on a six-monthly basis.

Terrington Parish Neighbourhood Plan

Thank you to all who submitted responses to the Draft Neighbourhood Plan. A final version of the Plan is currently in preparation for consideration at the next Parish Council meeting. See the Neighbourhood Plan page for more information.

Dark Skies Friendly Kite Mark

The Howardian Hills is offering us the opportunity to be recognised as one its Dark Skies Friendly communities. The Parish Council has discussed the invitation already and Councillors are generally in favour of proceeding. They welcome the views of the wider community so please let your Parish Councillors know what you think.

As a first step, an audit of current lighting around the village has been conducted and overall we comply with the criteria though advice is available on any steps people can take to make improvements to their outside lighting. Any changes would be purely voluntary and could result in energy savings for households and businesses.

For useful information on why dark skies are important, what we can do to protect them and what you can do to improve external lighting see the Howardian Hills Dark Skies leaflet.
